Publication Ethics
Ethical standards for authors, editors and reviewers of ISAS publications.
The Editorial Board aims to promote ethical publishing practices, inform everyone involved in the editorial process and support informed decision-making by editors, so that the integrity of ISAS publications is upheld. ISAS is responsible for ensuring that all published work adheres to the highest standards of ethical conduct.
Originality and Plagiarism
- Authors must ensure that their work is original and contains no plagiarized material.
- Authors must properly cite all sources used in their work.
- The similarity rate must not exceed 30% including references and 20% excluding references; submissions exceeding these thresholds are rejected without peer review.

Research Integrity
- Authors must accurately represent their research findings without fabricating or falsifying data.
- All parties must adhere to the principles of academic integrity and act in accordance with ISAS policies and procedures.
Peer Review
- All full papers are double-blind peer-reviewed.
- Editors must ensure that all submitted works are evaluated fairly and objectively, and must not use their position to influence the outcome of a submission.
- Reviewers must provide unbiased and constructive feedback and must not use their position to gain access to confidential information.
- All parties must maintain the confidentiality of the review process.
Allegations of Misconduct
- If ISAS is made aware of an allegation of research misconduct, the publisher or editor has the right to deal with the allegation appropriately.
By adhering to these guidelines, all parties help ensure that ISAS publications meet the highest standards of quality and integrity.
